ISG Provider Lens: CANCOM convinces ISG analysts with SASE Solutions and Services
Leader award for CANCOM in three categories for Software Defined Solutions & Services
ISG particularly emphasizes CANCOM’s 20 years of experience and complete SASE-as-a-Service offering
Other strengths include the company’s own core backbone and extensive partner network
The independent technology research company ISG (Information Services Group) has recognized CANCOM as the leading provider for enterprise networks and software-defined networks in its Provider LensTM study “Network – Software-Defined Solutions & Services 2023”. CANCOM emerged as the leader in the categories “SDN Transformation Service (Consulting and Implementation)”, “Edge Technologies and Services” and “SASE Solutions and Services”.
SD networks form the basis for modern and future-proof corporate networks that are geared towards the cloud. They enable advanced security integrations, including complete implementations of Secure Access Service Edge ( SASE) or Security Service Edge (SSE). According to the global market research company ISG, such networks are being used more and more frequently in German companies of various industries and sizes.
Against this background, the ISG Provider LensTM study “Network – Software-Defined Solutions & Services 2023” examines various service and solution offerings in connection with Software-Defined Networking (SD Networking). CANCOM is one of the leading providers in the market in a total of three categories: “SASE Solutions and Services”, “SDN Transformation Services (Consulting and Implementation)” and “Edge Technologies and Services”.
Leader in SASE Solutions and Services
The “SASE Solutions and Services” category considers SASE solutions and services as integrated networks and security solutions that provide a secure network from the core to the edge. CANCOM impresses here with its complete SASE-as-a-Service portfolio.
“Despite its focus on the entire SASE architecture, CANCOM is able to position each key technology as a stand-alone service,” said Dr. Kenn D Walters, lead author of the study, explaining CANCOM’s ranking as a top provider. “This enables CANCOM to develop solutions that meet customer requirements in terms of on-demand usage, technology and LAN services, while also taking future needs into account.” ISG also highlights CANCOM’s own Security Operations Center (SOC) operated in Germany with integrated SASE and the customer self-service portal, which creates transparency for customers.
Leader in SDN Transformation Services (Consulting & Implementation)
CANCOM is also one of the pioneers in the German market in the area of “SDN Transformation Services (Consulting & Implementation)”. This quadrant analyzes the competence of providers of network services and solutions that can handle network transformation, from consulting to implementation.
CANCOM’s 20 years of experience, its comprehensive consulting and implementation services in the field of SDN and SD-WAN and its extensive partner ecosystem are paying off. “CANCOM is a respected brand in Germany and enjoys a high level of customer satisfaction thanks to the use of its own and partner products in the SD network sector and its extensive experience,” summarizes Walters. According to ISG, one of the strengths of the hybrid IT service provider is that CANCOM develops SD-WAN/SDN solutions that fully support the customer’s existing environment, such as the network infrastructure at the customer’s site or other existing WAN and MPLS technologies. In addition, the comprehensive SD service portfolio is provided via the company’s own core backbone and data center infrastructure in Germany.
Leader in the field of Edge Technologies and Services
“Edge Technologies and Services” is the third category in which CANCOM is represented in the top field. According to ISG, edge technologies, edge services and edge computing are current trends for the Internet of Things (IoT) and the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT). CANCOM offers hardware and software solutions, including management tools, applications, private 5G and partial or complete services specifically for the edge of enterprise networks for a wide range of industries.
“CANCOM delivers customized, high-performance XaaS and core-to-edge solutions for all types of businesses in Germany,” said Dr. Kenn D Walters. “As a system integrator, MSP and carrier-neutral network service provider, CANCOM has an extensive partner ecosystem of leading technology providers and more than 20 leading global carriers. This enables CANCOM to deliver value-added services and solutions that focus on customer needs while ensuring complete vendor neutrality for customers at the edge.”
CANCOM also leads the field in Managed IT Network Services from a customer perspective. CANCOM achieved outstanding customer ratings in the “Professional User Ratings Managed Network Services” by the analyst firm techconsult.
