How will artificial intelligence (AI) influence corporate IT in the future and what fundamental changes and opportunities will AI bring for IT processes? This was the focus of CANCOM LIVE 2023, a series of events organized by CANCOM at five locations in Germany that brought together customers and interested parties with leading IT experts to provide information and discuss the profitable use of AI in corporate IT.

A particular focus of the events was on three main areas: “Workplace AI” to increase productivity in the workplace, “Cybersecurity AI” for increased security and AI in the context of individual industry solutions. Important aspects of AI were highlighted in presentations by CANCOM experts, reference customers and representatives of technology companies, including Microsoft and NVIDIA.

Microsoft used the example of its new Microsoft Copilot solution to demonstrate how the practical use of AI in Office applications can significantly optimize and automate processes. In addition, NVDIA demonstrated the basic technical requirements that need to be created for the use of such AI tools.

The Networking and Expo Area with exhibitor stands from other manufacturer partners from the workplace, data center and security sectors offered the 700 or so participants the opportunity to delve deeper into the key topics and discuss their individual challenges directly with the experts.

“The use of AI is becoming increasingly important for companies,” emphasizes Gernot Hafner, Vice President Competence Center at CANCOM, who opened the event with a presentation on “Influencing factors for a future-proof IT strategy. “Our focus is therefore on providing our customers with significant support in the implementation of AI projects. This ranges from the definition of suitable use cases and the development of AI models to the application of AI models in day-to-day business. The personal discussions with our customers at CANCOM LIVE were very valuable for us.”

Martin Mayr, Senior Vice President Marketing at CANCOM, also emphasizes how important it is to be close to customers and to create a platform for knowledge transfer with events such as CANCOM LIVE: “The personal exchange with our customers and within the IT industry is our top priority and is irreplaceable. It was great to see familiar faces again and make new contacts. A big thank you goes to our reference customers and speakers who made this event special and of course to all participants. CANCOM LIVE was a complete success! We are therefore planning to continue the event series next year.”
