CANCOM presents next-generation AI and digitization solutions for healthcare at DMEA 2025
CANCOM is bringing together experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland to focus on topics such as digital supply management, AI use cases, virtual learning and specialized security services for the healthcare sector.
Highlight from the DACH region: The SiMed research project shows how AI improves the safe delivery of medication and relieves the burden on nursing staff.
Leading technology partners are represented at the CANCOM booth, presenting innovative solutions for the healthcare sector, such as Getinge.
CANCOM will once again be represented at DMEA, Europe’s leading event for digital health, in 2025, and will be presenting itself with its own booth (hall 2.2, booth E-106) from April 8 to 10, 2025. CANCOM healthcare experts from Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be demonstrating integrated AI and digitization solutions and inviting trade visitors to find out more about innovative technologies and services that are specifically tailored to the needs and regulations of healthcare facilities. In addition, interested parties will receive personal advice at the booth.
The healthcare industry faces a number of challenges in the digital transformation, including data protection and security, interoperability, user adoption, and regulatory requirements. At booth E-106 in Hall 2.2, CANCOM will be presenting approaches to meeting these requirements and making processes in healthcare facilities more efficient and secure through digital transformation and the use of AI. Numerous use cases will be presented.
Key topics: digital transformation for greater efficiency and security
One focus is on specific applications of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. CANCOM demonstrates how AI technologies can intelligently support therapy processes, surgical planning, care measures and administrative activities in order to save valuable time and resources. A prime example of this is the SiMed research project, which is unique in the DACH market and enables the safe dispensing of solid medications. Using an extensive database of medication, the AI recognizes whether the medication contained in the dispenser matches the doctor’s prescription. This helps to reduce medication errors and relieve the burden on nursing staff.
Another focus is on solutions in the area of cybersecurity. These not only offer protection against cyber threats but also provide holistic support to healthcare institutions in building digital resilience. The company will show how institutions can future proof themselves to meet the increasing demands for security, stability and governance. One highlight is the protection of medical devices against unauthorized access. CANCOM presents specialized IoT and IoMT solutions that close security gaps while ensuring that the approval and functionality of the devices are not compromised. In addition, CANCOM will show how business continuity management (BCM) can help ensure the operation of healthcare facilities even in crisis situations, for example with emergency plans, and how it can create resilient IT infrastructures.
Digital supply management illustrates how technologies can automate and optimize processes in healthcare facilities while increasing patient satisfaction.
In the area of virtual learning, innovative concepts for training and continuing education in the healthcare industry will be presented that promote the qualification of skilled workers.
Long-standing technology partner
In addition, well-known manufacturers in the field of AI and digitization, such as Getinge, will be represented at the CANCOM booth.
Together with Getinge, CANCOM presents efficient solutions such as Torin for surgical planning and INSIGHT for optimizing clinical workflows. Torin improves surgical capacity planning, reduces turnaround times, and increases resource utilization. INSIGHT supports data-driven decision-making, increases process transparency, and optimizes resource utilization – for greater efficiency and improved patient care.
Personalized advice and comprehensive expertise
The CANCOM mission “We transform for better healthcare” is reflected in all the solutions shown: the goal is to shape the future of healthcare and to tangibly improve patient care through innovative technologies. The CANCOM Healthcare team invites you to a personal exchange at several meeting islands. Here, digitalization solutions are individually tailored to the requirements of healthcare facilities – including country-specific conditions and legal requirements such as the NIS-2 directive. On the second evening of the trade fair, a relaxed networking event will also take place at the booth to round off the day together.
