  • CANCOM receives the Nagel Group’s “Partner of the Year Award” for the third time.
  • Award recognizes strategic importance and outstanding achievements in technology, service, and collaboration.
  • The joint implementation of modern workplace solutions noticeably reduces the burden on the Nagel Group’s IT and meets the highest security and governance requirements.

CANCOM was honored with the Nagel Group’s “Partner of the Year Award” for the third time in June 2025. The award ceremony took place on June 2, 2025, at the CANCOM company location in Essen. The award is presented annually to the best IT supplier of the Europe-wide food logistics company – four times in total to date, three of which went to CANCOM.

The Nagel Group’s decision is based on a comprehensive evaluation over a period of twelve months. The assessment takes into account aspects such as technology use, support quality, response speed, flexibility, cost management, and security standards.

“We are particularly pleased that Kraftverkehr Nagel has named us Partner of the Year for the third time. This recognition not only underscores our close and trusting cooperation, but also our role as a strategic IT partner. It shows that CANCOM reliably and competently supports its customers on their path to digital transformation,” said Kristina Diesem, Senior Vice President, CANCOM.

The Nagel Group also emphasizes the quality of the partnership: “We have a genuine partnership with CANCOM based on mutual respect,” says Michael Lütjann, CIO of the Nagel Group. “The continuous development of joint projects, coupled with a high degree of reliability and technological excellence, makes CANCOM a strong partner in the digital transformation of the Nagel Group.”

An outstanding example of the successful collaboration is the joint PC as a Service (PCaaS) project. Here, the Nagel Group relies on modern workplace solutions from HP, which are provided and supported by CANCOM. The services include not only the procurement and delivery of the hardware, but also fully automated setup using Microsoft Intune, SWAP services in the event of defects, repairs, and certified data deletion upon return – all from a single source. The result: a significant reduction in the workload of the internal IT department, devices that are always up to date, and predictable costs.

Yakup Ömer, Head of IT Governance & Cyber Defense at the Nagel Group, adds: “As a critical infrastructure, it was crucial for us not only to manage IT workstations economically, but also to meet the highest requirements for security, scalability, and governance. With the PCaaS model, we are able to achieve precisely this balancing act – CANCOM understood our complex requirements and translated them into a robust service model.”
