ISG study: CANCOM’s public cloud services leading for SMEs in Germany
In the areas of “Consulting & Transformation Services” and “Managed Public Cloud Services” for SMEs, CANCOM is well ahead of the competition
Managed Services for SAP based on Azure also leading according to ISG
ISG customer survey shows: Nine out of ten customers recommend CANCOM
Demand for IT services for digitization projects is higher than ever, despite the energy crisis and the threat of recession. The growth of the public cloud is continuing and the attractiveness of public cloud-supported development and operating concepts continues to increase, according to a study by ISG and EuroCloud Native (ECN). To give companies an up-to-date overview of IT service providers with public cloud solutions, ISG set up the Provider LensTM study “Public Cloud – Solutions and Services”. CANCOM performed particularly well and is one of the strongest digitization partners for SMEs in Germany.
The ISG Provider Lens study shows that CANCOM is well ahead of its competitors in the categories “Consulting & Transformation Services”, “Managed Public Cloud Services” in the midmarket segment, and in customer ratings. In “SAP Hana Infrastructure Services”, the hybrid IT service provider is also represented in the top field.
ISG justifies the excellent rankings by partnerships with all leading public cloud providers and numerous certified experts. CANCOM also impresses with its end-to-end offering and its migration and managed services expertise: On request, the IT service provider also takes over the support of applications and integrates them into the cloud solution or the XaaS portfolio.
Agility and security in the migration of critical applications to the cloud
In the “Consulting and Transformation Services” segment for medium-sized companies in Germany, CANCOM emerges as the most competitive market player. According to ISG, companies that want to modernize critical applications such as SAP and migrate them to the public cloud have an ideal partner in CANCOM.
CANCOM holds its own in topics such as cloud workplace, cloud security or governance and cloud IoT edge computing, and offers a very broad portfolio with all services from a modern cloud-native perspective. However, the company is also able to fully integrate legacy stacks into its services.
“At CANCOM, the focus is on agility and security. With many DevOps-certified experts, CANCOM supports customers on their way to the public cloud and ensures high quality and security without losing sight of agility and business focus,” the ISG analysts continue.
Broad partner ecosystem and high managed services competence
CANCOM is also ahead of the other market participants in the category “Managed Public Cloud Services” for SMEs in Germany. ISG attributes this to the broad partner ecosystem with all major hyperscalers as well as important security, connectivity and application providers.
Thanks to numerous certifications of CANCOM experts for AWS, Azure, GCP or the IBM Cloud, the customer environments managed by CANCOM are always cloud-agnostic and can be operated via API. Medium-sized companies benefit from a holistic service portfolio and approach. The focus here is on migration as well as managed services expertise that handles critical workloads such as SAP on Azure or container technologies.
Customers receive support from the Cloud Center of Excellence (CCoE) and the CANCOM Competence Centers. “CANCOM has a very high level of managed services expertise,” say ISG analysts. “The hybrid IT service provider is able to offer any managed service desired from a modern cloud-native perspective. In doing so, CANCOM ensures that customers receive support for all security issues for their critical systems.”
High-performance SAP-certified infrastructure
CANCOM continues to score points with its experience from numerous SAP projects in a wide variety of areas and also achieves the leader rating in the “SAP Hana Infrastructure Services” category. Business-critical cloud applications are in good hands with CANCOM. This is ensured by CANCOM’s highly secure data centers in Germany.
Operation takes place on an SAP-certified platform with a powerful and robust SAP-certified infrastructure. “Users who want to operate all or part of their SAP environment in the public cloud have the option of moving workloads to the world of Microsoft Azure with the CANCOM SAP on Azure offering, and can also use a wealth of cloud services. CANCOM takes care of the complete service,” explain the ISG analysts.
In addition, customers are prepared for the SAP S/4HANA switchover in customized workshops. In these workshops, CANCOM experts clarify which sourcing option, such as own data center, cloud service provider or public cloud, is the best choice. With the support of proven tools and methods, the individual environment is analyzed and a roadmap for the optimal switch to SAP S/4HANA is developed.
Star of Excellence – Above-average customer rating
The good performance in the study is confirmed by the results of the “Star of Excellence” customer survey conducted by ISG. “Nine out of ten customers recommend CANCOM to others. Such a good customer rating is very rare,” summed up the ISG analysts. “This shows how good the relationships are between CANCOM and its customers, and how well CANCOM delivers.” CANCOM achieved a very good ranking in all six criteria to be evaluated, and in the areas of “Execution and Service Delivery” and “Collaboration and Transparency” the hybrid IT service provider even achieved a satisfaction level of almost 100 percent.
