In its comprehensive analysis of the German market for cloud computing services (aaS) in the area of B2B, ISG has once again rated CANCOM Group as one of the leading providers – both with respect to competitive strength and to portfolio attractiveness. Since 2010, CANCOM has been rated a leader by the annual Experton Group Cloud Vendor Benchmark, which has been renamed the ISG Provider Lens Germany 2017 – Cloud Transformation/Operation Services & XaaS.
The study gives CIOs, IT managers, and media representatives a detailed, differentiated overview of the most important cloud and cloud service providers on the German-speaking market, providing specific support during the evaluation and selection of cloud vendors and providers suited to your business. Of more than 140 providers that ISG evaluated, CANCOM was rated a leader in the following categories:
ISG’s analysts emphasize CANCOM’s great competence in cloud consulting and operation and point to its numerous client references in this area. They point out that CANCOM has asserted itself on the market and scored points with its industry-specific IT solutions and use cases for industries such as manufacturing, commerce, banking, health services, and energy. They also emphasize CANCOM’s impeccable implementation of complex strategic projects dealing with a range of aspects of digitalization.
“Cloud is the engine of digitalization and drives progress.”
The entire conventional hardware, software, and services market – with a total volume of more than 100 billion euros – is increasingly shifting to the service sector which, with the exception of pure services (currently still primarily provided by humans), is increasingly becoming a cloud market, the ISG researchers say.
Heiko Henkes, Director Advisor at ISG, says “Digitalization is inconceivable without the cloud. But the cloud should not be viewed merely as infrastructure, but also as a platform and an on-demand service process with a high degree of standardization, modularization, and access to artificial intelligence. Providers such as CANCOM Group are leaders in the area of cloud transformation because of their in-depth understanding of information security, data protection, and compliance, and their ability to seek out new business models. CANCOM is a pioneer in many ways, representing ‘design thinking’.”
“We are very familiar with the challenges of digitalization for mid-sized German companies and see ourselves as a leading transformation partner for our clients,” says CANCOM Executive Board member Rudolf Hotter. “Among other things, our years of experience and numerous customer projects have contributed to our outstanding leading position relative to other mid-sized cloud and cloud service providers,” says Hotter of the ISG evaluation.
