CANCOM wins IBM Storage Partner Award 2021

As part of the annual IBM Ecosystem Partner Event DACH, CANCOM was honored as Storage Partner 2021. At this year’s virtual event, IBM presented awards to outstanding business partners who have had the greatest impact on IBM’s business in 2021. CANCOM was recognized for the greatest growth in the storage sector.

The common goal last year was to expand storage capabilities to meet the needs of CANCOM customers in the hybrid cloud environment. This enabled to expand the growth of the partnership, which has been existing since the mid-1990s, particularly in the storage sector in 2021. Numerous successfully implemented customer projects of various sizes have contributed to this. The award confirms the joint strategic orientation of the two partners as well as the commitment of CANCOM to open hybrid cloud infrastructures. As the event could only take place virtually this year, Kate Woolley, General Manager IBM Ecosystem, and Marco Braun, Vice President IBM Partner Ecosystem DACH, personally presented the award in a small setting to Tobias Hoermann, EVP IT Solutions & ICT at CANCOM. For more than 20 years, CANCOM has been offering its customers consulting and services for IBM solutions, e.g. in the areas of mainframe, power server, storage, security, cloud, IT automation and other IBM software. CANCOM has already received numerous awards from IBM, most recently the Security Award in 2020 for the success story of the CANCOM Security Operations Center (SOC) and in 2019 for growth and services in the IBM Power Environment. In the future, the joint business activities will be further expanded for a crisis-proof and future-proof infrastructure for CANCOM customers.
