CANCOM welcomes Cloudian to its partner network

  • CANCOM expands customer capabilities in highly scalable and cost-effective data storage options with Cloudian object storage solutions
  • Cloudian offers, among others, the flexible HyperStore® object storage for on-premises as well as hybrid storage environments
  • Customers benefit from a simple, compact and secure IT infrastructure despite data growth CANCOM and Cloudian become new sales partners in Germany

As part of the partnership, CANCOM is further expanding its existing portfolio of object storage solutions. Besides solutions from various other well-known manufacturers, the hybrid IT service provider now also offers the highly scalable HyperStore® object storage from Cloudian for use on-premises as well as in hybrid storage environments.

The HyperStore object storage offers CANCOM customers multiple benefits with its native S3 API compatibility, cloud-native structures, and the ability to manage data across multiple sites distributed in a single namespace. At the same time, advanced metadata tagging enables rapid data search and the use of AI, machine learning and analytics applications. Modular scalability allows users to easily add new nodes to the cluster as needed, expanding their system to exabytes. The integrated object lock function provides the necessary data protection. This guarantees, through the immutability of the data, the protection of backup data against ransomware. As a result, data can be easily restored from the clean copy in the case of a successful attack.

“One of the most obvious side effects of digital transformation, and at the same time one of its biggest challenges, is the storage of data,” explains Martin Mayr, Senior Vice President at CANCOM. “The theme of eternal data growth may be old, but that doesn’t make it any less relevant. With Cloudian’s solutions, we can now provide our customers with scalable, reliable and cost-effective storage solutions that integrate seamlessly into our portfolio. This enables us to build a simple, compact and secure IT infrastructure that can meet the biggest challenges of everyday digital life.”

“We very much welcome this partnership with CANCOM. Together, we can significantly expand Cloudian’s sales network within the DACH region. In order to face the challenges of digital transformation with confidence, it is important for companies to have a partner who can support them with experience, good advice and the right solutions. The search for the right storage solution is essential here, but often also very complex. We look forward to working with CANCOM to help enterprises and organizations overcome this complexity and realize the full potential of their IT,” said Stefan Leiseder, Channel Manager DACH at Cloudian.”
