CANCOM, the hybrid IT integrator and service provider, opened its first location in Košice, Slovakia, on November 12, 2019. With this new presence, the CANCOM Group is pushing ahead with internationalization and investing particularly in Managed Services. Around 150 IT specialists will be employed at the modern location in the Aupark Business Center by the end of 2020.
CANCOM inaugurated its first Slovak location in Košice at a ceremony attended by new employees and guests from local politics and business. In addition to Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium, Great Britain, Ireland and the USA, CANCOM now has its own market presence in another country. The aim is to press ahead with internationalization and strategically expand capacities, particularly in the CANCOM Group's Managed Services segment.
"We are always looking for new talents who can optimally complement our company with their know-how, skills and ideas. After Bratislava, Košice is the most important university city in Slovakia, offering its inhabitants a high quality of life. As a result, highly qualified specialists who we want to inspire and win over for our company and our vision are based there," explains Thomas Volk, CEO of CANCOM SE.
With almost 250,000 inhabitants, Košice is an important economic hub in Slovakia. Geographically located in the heart of Europe, Košice is already home to many international global players in the IT industry. The high-tech environment combined with an excellent IT infrastructure offers perfect conditions as a strategic base in Slovakia. "Our location and the international connection here in Košice are leading in technology. Our employees are fluent in German and English and are highly qualified. It therefore makes no difference to our customers whether they purchase our CANCOM Managed Services from Berlin, Munich, London or Košice," says Matus Copik, Managing Director of CANCOM Slovakia.
CANCOM Slovakia's new office is located in the heart of Košice in the Aupark Business Center and offers excellent working conditions: On initial 700 square meters, the modern building complex leaves nothing to be desired in terms of an innovative, collaborative working environment - a roof terrace of around 120 square meters is also located at the site. By the end of 2020, 150 employees will be working there for the CANCOM Group - primarily in the Managed Services area. "Next year, in line with CANCOM's dynamic growth, we intend to grow even further here in Slovakia," Copik continued. "We have already become an outstanding team in which working fun. We are pleased to welcome many more talents in our midst".
