CANCOM among the leading providers of cybersecurity solutions & services in ISG market comparison

  • ISG study again ranks CANCOM as one of the leading providers of technical and managed security services
  • Broad spectrum and positive development of the CANCOM managed security and technical services portfolio is decisive for top positions
  • ISG refers to individual security solutions that meet the requirements of both medium-sized and large companies

The market research company ISG has once again identified the most important cybersecurity solutions and service providers. Also in this year’s study the IT service provider CANCOM occupies top positions. With the awards as one of the leading providers of technical and managed security services, the IT company is reaping the rewards of the dynamic expansion of its cybersecurity as a service portfolio. The ISG experts praise in particular the tailored end-to-end security solutions with which CANCOM is able to serve both medium-sized and large companies.

With the help of ransomware, advanced persistent threats, phishing attacks cybercriminals are constantly finding new gateways to intrude the IT ecosystem of companies. As a consequence of the steadily changing threat situation, the range of cybersecurity solutions and services offered by IT service providers is growing. The Provider LensTM study Cybersecurity Solutions & Services 2021 by market research institute ISG (Information Services Group) creates transparency and has identified and compared the most important market players. CANCOM emerges as one of the leading cybersecurity providers with a strong focus on technical security services, managed security services and XaaS.

One-stop end-to-end cybersecurity solutions and strategy

Technical security services include the integration, maintenance, and support of IT security products and solutions. These include antivirus, cloud and data center security, identity and access management (IAM), data loss prevention (DLP), network security, endpoint security, and unified threat management (UTM). The awarded IT provider is not only convincing with its comprehensive and continuously growing CANCOM security services in this market environment, but also understands how to address the individual security requirements of medium-sized and large companies, according to ISG. “CANCOM offers a very comprehensive cybersecurity portfolio, from planning and implementation to managed services and security as a service,” judged the ISG analysts. “This means that end-to-end cybersecurity services can be offered, enabling one-stop end-to-end cybersecurity solutions.” In addition, the IT service provider covers a comprehensive range of topics and services with regard to the implementation of cybersecurity projects.

Dynamic expansion of managed security services increases attractiveness for medium-sized businesses

The market research firm honors CANCOM with an equally positive rating in the area of managed security services, in which the IT provider also holds a leading position. In general, managed security services cover the operation and management of IT security infrastructures, including the provision of a Security Operations Center (SOC) – from real-time monitoring and identification of threats to full-scale resolution of security problems (ISR) . The investment in the further development of its service portfolio, such as SOC as a Service, is paying off for CANCOM, ISG concluded. Not least because the dynamically growing midmarket sector in particular has an above-average need to catch up in the area of cybersecurity. “Nowadays, IT security equals with corporate security and, in the worst case scenario, can determine a company’s continued existence. However, companies need an average of eleven months to identify an intruder in their systems,” elaborated Daniel Graßer, Director Competence Center Security at CANCOM. “Among others, thanks to our SOC as a Service offering companies and organizations can effectively protect themselves against cyberattacks without having to set up the necessary costly structures and skilled professionals themselves.“ The dedicated SOC teams are based at German locations. This makes CANCOM an important cybersecurity partner for the midmarket. According to ISG, it enables the IT provider to meet especially the expectations of medium-sized customers, who attach great importance to a large local presence.
