In 2022, CANCOM welcomes around 120 new apprentices and dual students.

  • Capital and Ausbildung.de name CANCOM one of “Germany’s Best Vocational Trainers 2022”
  • Highest score for the two assessed areas of “apprenticeship” and “dual study program”
  • Young talents at CANCOM benefit from a training program with high quality and innovativeness as well as outstanding career opportunities

Around 120 new trainees and dual students who started at CANCOM this September can expect a highly qualified and future-oriented training program. This is confirmed by the latest study “Germany’s Best Vocational Trainers 2022” by the business magazine Capital and the talent platform Ausbildung.de. CANCOM has already been among the top trainers here for the past four years. Also this year, CANCOM can build on its successes and be pleased to have again received the award with the highest number of points.

The survey evaluated the vocational training standards of 750 companies in Germany that employ at least five trainees or three students. CANCOM achieved full score in the study for both its apprenticeship and dual study programs in all five categories: “Support and involvement of trainees”, “Learning on the job”, “Strategies and budget for apprenticeship marketing”, “Innovative methods” (e.g., the use of digital media), and “Opportunities for trainees to succeed”.

The shortage of skilled workers in Germany continued to worsen in many sectors this year. A lot of apprenticeship positions remained unfilled. Due to the shortage of personnel in Germany, many companies have to make a major effort to attract young talents and retain them in the long term. This is also reflected in the study on “Germany’s Best Vocational Trainers 2022″. According to the survey, almost all companies are trying to entice young professionals with further career opportunities as soon as they start their training. 97 percent of the companies surveyed stated that they hold discussions early on about job opportunities after the apprenticeship.

For CANCOM, in addition to attractive career opportunities, it is also enormously important to have an interesting training and continuing education program that is continuously being expanded and that addresses the needs of trainees and dual students. As a result of the digital transformation, CANCOM is increasingly using new technical possibilities in its apprenticeship program, thereby promoting the digital skills of trainees and dual students at the same time. “As a modern apprenticeship company, we see it as our duty to offer our junior specialists a program that we are constantly improving, expanding and adapting to the changing requirements in our industry,” explains Claudia Ade, Manager Trainees and Talents at CANCOM. “We are also increasingly relying on digital solutions and formats, such as digital group-wide exam preparation and e-learning or the digital report book. At the same time, we have expanded our face-to-face offerings in the form of workshops, because a close exchange with our trainees and dual students is enormously important to us.” Next to the addition of further training locations throughout the country and the approval of some more trainers, the range of dual study courses, for example, is also constantly being adapted to business requirements.
