How can CANCOM and Microsoft successfully support their customers on their cloud journey? That was the topic of the first CANCOM Microsoft Connect 2022 (CMC) at CANCOM headquarter in Munich on October 6 and 7. The joint event was aimed at CANCOM employees with the goal of further expanding the core competencies of all Microsoft units at CANCOM, increasing the ability to innovate, and promoting exchange among each other. The focus was on the customer and his needs.
CANCOM and Microsoft have enjoyed a successful partnership for many years and share a common understanding of modern cloud environments. Microsoft is one of the world's most important providers of cloud platforms and applications. CANCOM takes up Microsoft's platform approach and ties in seamlessly with its range of services from a solution perspective. In order to successfully support customers on their cloud journey and to shape their digital future even better, around 80 employees from Microsoft and CANCOM came together at CANCOM Microsoft Connect 2022 at the beginning of October in keeping with the motto #bettertogether. From IoT to Modern Work Solutions, the latest tech trends were discussed at the two-day event and best practices for solutions used by Microsoft and CANCOM were presented in numerous keynotes. The management teams of both companies were also present to underscore their joint strategic orientation. The agenda was rounded off by an evening get-together, which invited to a relaxed exchange of ideas and networking.
The introduction to the competence event was provided by Rüdiger Rath, COO and designated CEO of CANCOM SE, who gave a positive summary: "Our employees are an essential part of our innovation capability. With CMC 2022, we are pursuing the goal of having them come together, share their experiences of a wide variety of customer requirements, and exchange ideas about future-proof solutions. This is important to support our customers in the best possible way on their cloud journey and to stay one step ahead of digitalization."
"The partnership between Microsoft and CANCOM is very important to us. Together we make our customers successful", explains Edith Wittmann, Senior Director Global Partner Solutions at Microsoft. "In Germany, we have a diverse customer landscape. Our customers are represented in a wide variety of industries and sectors. Their requirements for cloud platforms and services are correspondingly diverse. In order to provide them with the best possible support on their cloud journey and to pick them up exactly where they are, the interaction between CANCOM and Microsoft is enormously important."
In the future, CANCOM Microsoft Connect will take place every year and serve as a networking platform for the exchange of information between all Microsoft units and for expanding the Microsoft community within CANCOM.
