On its way to becoming CO2e neutral by 2027, CANCOM is focusing on e-mobility. According to preliminary figures, the CANCOM Group achieved revenue growth of 11.3 percent and increased EBITDA by 21.7 percent in the financial year 2021. Detron ICT Group, a company with four offices in the Netherlands, will take charge of reselling, implementing and operating AHP in the Dutch market. A new study by IT market analysts from ISG Research has been published today. The study examines the performance of IT companies within the German market in several categories, which together form the Cloud Transformation/Operation Services & XaaS market segment. CANCOM was evaluated in three categories and was rated market leader in two categories: Managed Public Cloud Services for Midmarket and Public Cloud Transformation for Midmarket. In the IaaS - Enterprise Cloud for Midmarket category, ISG awarded a second best vendor rating.
One of the most demanding testing standards for information security and compliance is the C5 test catalog (C5 stands for Cloud Computing Compliance Controls Catalogue) of the German Federal Office for Information Security, or BSI for short. These C5 requirements were specifically geared to cloud providers by the BSI experts. CANCOM Pironet has now become the first German multi-cloud provider from the SME sector to be successfully certified according to the BSI's C5 requirements (Type 1 testing). The certificate was issued by auditors from Ebner Stolz following an intensive review of all relevant processes and internal regulations at CANCOM Pironet. Munich, Germany, 9 August 2018 – Today CANCOM signed a contract to acquire the parent company of UK IT solutions provider OCSL. In joining forces with OCSL, CANCOM takes another determined move towards a substantial UK market presence and the international growth of its business. In spring 2018, CANCOM acquired the UK-based UCC and Managed Services provider Ocean Intelligent Communications, now renamed as CANCOM Collaboration and Communication.
Cloud applications are not only found in large companies, small and medium-sized enterprises are now also turning to the cloud. The results from the ICT budget benchmark by techconsult and CANCOM Pironet show that the increased acceptance does not stop at ERP from the cloud. According to eAnalyzer, techconsult's online database for ICT spending, expenditure on cloud ERP will increase by around 12 percent annually by the end of 2019.
5.2 billion euros will be spent by German companies this year on software as a service, a large proportion of which will be spent on communication and collaboration tools. This is shown by the results of the ICT budget benchmark compiled on the basis of the eAnalyzer 2018 by techconsult and CANCOM Pironet. So far, over 3,535 people have accessed the benchmark, and 1,833 have completed it in full, comparing the size of their ICT budget with that of other companies in the same industry and of the same size.
